Add your choice of fresh ingredients and spices to the pot. Any of the suggested recipes will release delightful home fragrances, but feel free to experiment with what you have in stock in your kitchen pantry.

Make sure to check the pot of simmering water every half an hour to make sure the pot does not run out of water. Add additional water to the pot as needed. The mixture can keep on the stove up to two days, but make turn off the heat prior to going to sleep. Apart from getting all the exotic smells, the simmering water will also help to humidify your home.
