Romanian Style Tasteful Houses
The Romanian traditional architecture has always boasted a distinct beauty which radiates elegance through simplicity, two central elements that make up a home tastefully built. Inspired by nature, itself part of Romanian folklore, homes in this part of the world are not just simple constructions, but say stories about the joy of living through their unique architecture. We see three such Romanian style tasteful houses in the following article, some of them appearing to have come from immemorial times, which enhances their authentic beauty even more.
We start with a small house on two floors and a living area of 65 square meters. It is an ideal home for a family with three members, featuring a three room structure, two of which are bedrooms upstairs. The house has a pleasant appearance, highlighted by exterior design features predominantly worked in wood, as befits a house in a traditional style. The roof is made of shingles, while the porch is covered with natural stone, according to the website presentation. Access is done via the porch, enabling a first contact with this special house this way. For the sake of more efficient use of limited space, the architect joined the lobby with living room, creating a multifunctional space. The ground floor houses the family spaces, the living room and kitchen. Behind the house lies a terrace which can be furnished with a summer kitchen, as seen in the pictures. In the attic rest two bedrooms and one bathroom. The estimated price for this house is 35,000 euros.
A bigger house this time, which perfectly illustrates the full beauty of Romanian traditional architecture, in various plays of shapes, exuding personality. The two story house with a total living area of 164 square meters lies on a slope, which allowed a walk-in basement that can be accessed directly from the outside. The architectural style of the house is inspired by the Neo-Romanian architecture, featuring a rich decoration in a timber, with fine looking volumes. The roof is made of ceramic tiles, while the access way and terrace are paved with natural stone that is also found in the decorative strip that girdles the house. Downstairs is the living room and kitchen with a dining room included, both spaces positioned to open to the terrace and down the slope, to impressive natural sights. A study and various practical spaces complete the layout on the main level. Upstairs we find three bedrooms, the master bedroom with its own dressing room and bathroom, the other two sharing a bathroom and a lavatory.
The last plan describes the same Romanian style inspired traditional architecture, but with some elements that give it a modern feel, such as prominent glazed surfaces. The two story house features a wooden frame and lies on a living area of 155 square meters useful and comes with a beautiful facade sporting fine contrasts, with the upper half being paneled, while the bottom side is plastered. The ground floor includes a hallway, a bathroom, a kitchen, a storage room that can easily serve as a pantry, the living room and the dining area. The attic is home to the master bedroom with its own bathroom and dressing and two smaller bedrooms sharing a bathroom. Two balconies of the bedrooms upstairs make a fine transitional space to the nature outside and the ground floor terrace directly connected to the living room can be used as dining area in summer. The turnkey price for this beautiful house is about 400 euros / square meter.
