Cheap Log Houses – Closer To Nature
Wooden homes are an option more and more people are turning to thanks to the very good quality-price ratio. Featuring a superior aesthetic look besides the affordable price, the wooden houses also boast comfort since wood is a very good thermal insulator, keeping interiors warm in winter and cool in summer, are durable constructions, resistant to earthquakes and, generally, easy and cheap to maintain. All these being said, here are a few cheap log houses with additional plans.
The first plan is a two story house, ground floor and loft, spreading on 132 square meters. Featuring a simple and functional design, the house packs a fine looking façade which is visually dominated by the large balcony and the log texture. The house was built on a sloping plot of land which allowed the construction of a walk-out basement. The ground floor features a living, a kitchen and a bathroom, with an outdoor terrace accessible for those seeking to enjoy fresh air, while the first floor packs four bedrooms, a bathroom and a large beautiful balcony.
Below are two projects belonging to the same construction company. The first plan describes a single story log house, with a living area of 40 square meters which packs a living, a dining and a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. As you go into the house, a fine and chic veranda invites to relaxing moments in the morning or evening. The second plan describes a large two story house, spreading on 96 square meters. The ground floor has a living, a dining and a kitchen spilling into each other, a bathroom and a bedroom in a corner, while the loft hosts a game room which can be adjusted according to the owner’s needs. The builder offer information about the prices on his website, based on the living area and the diameter of the logs.
The last plan is a log house built by a Romanian construction company in France. Though there are no specific information about this project other than several photos, we can realize this is a tourist compound made of one room wood cabins. The builder gives an approximate price for a shell house, with quotas ranging from 165 to 190 euros per square meters for any plan which requires 25 to 40 cm diameter logs.
