In a world in continuous motion and which also leaves its mark on our life style, ever alert, in an era in which mobility does matter more and more, both professionally and personally, homes tend to keep the pace with this rhythm. People are now turning their attention to houses that are built quickly, are economical, efficient and eco-friendly, criteria which the new generation seriously take into account. So here are some quick build houses, usually homes that defy the conventional through a bold architecture.
The first example is a modular home. The advantage of such houses is that they come in prefabricated modules and assembled directly on location. The building time thus reduces to a couple of weeks, way less that what it takes to build a classical house. These houses are also very well thermally insulated, costs less since they require less manual labor and materials and can anytime be extended by addition of new modules. The one shown below has three containers in its structure, each measuring 6 meters in length, 2.43 in width and 2.55 in height, so 14.5 square meters per container. The house comes with electrical wiring, features two bedrooms, a fully equipped bathroom, a living and a dining. Its price stands at 11,000 Euros, VAT not included.

Another option is to build a light frame house with OSB panel walls. It is a material with high mechanical properties that make it particularly suitable for load-bearing applications in construction. The most common uses are as sheathing in walls, flooring, and roof decking. For exterior wall applications, panels are available with a radiant-barrier layer pre-laminated to one side; this eases installation and increases energy performance of the building envelope.
