November Wedding Flowers Ideas
We have already taken a look at the October wedding flower ideas and, as we promised, we are back with a new episode which, this time, covers November. What flowers or flower combinations are fit for such an important event in your life this month you are about to find out in the article below.
The first on our list is amaryllis, a decorative exotic plant displaying superb flowers which, whether you believe it or not, symbolizes freedom. We are not sure whether this symbol of freedom goes hand in hand with marriage (no irony here), but we confide in those experts recommending this colorful flower which comes to break up the fall monotony.
Starting November all the way till May, you can count on anemones in the wedding flower arrangements. These jewel-toned flowers were said to have sprung up from the blood that was shed by Aphrodite’s lover, Adonis, when he died. The ancient Greeks also believed that Zephyrus, the god of the west wind, favored the bloom, hence its other name: windflower. Its meaning is expectation, not a romantic symbol this time either.
But the daffodil may bring that meaning going very well with this event. It does symbolize gracefulness, respect and chivalry so it is proper to accompany a marriage. Shakespeare himself wrote about this flower, impressed it is one of the first blooms appearing as winter subsides. Enjoy its strong clean fragrance which will surely not go unnoticed.
Again, from November to May you can also rely on the Dutch tulip, a modest flower but which brings color and vitality to any floral arrangement. And if we tell you its meaning is declaration of love, honesty and happy years, then you are looking at the perfect choice for the lifetime’s event. Both the Dutch and the French tulips go very well in any arrangement.
Another ornamental plant, boasting rich flowers resembling the rose, is lisianthus. It comes in large variety of flowers, ranging from blue, pink and white to purple and a mix of white and other colors, all fit to join this chromatic puzzle on this memorable day.
And to put a triumphal end, let’s not ignore the gracefulness and divine beauty of peonies whose floral consistence will bring good luck and radiates confidence as the new couple starts out on a new road.
