Modern Brick-Decorated Houses. A Traditional Touch in Present Designs
If you appreciate the decorative qualities of brick, you can use it on the outside, on larger or smaller surfaces, in different colors. Brick can be successfully blend in a modern design, giving it a touch of traditional elegance. Here are three modern brick-decorated houses.
First we have a house with attic, very modernly designed, which includes a large surface covered in light colored decorative brick. This gives the whole house a warm, light aspect, even if the architecture is so minimalist. The living area of this house is 1,173 square feet.
The ground floor includes a bathroom, the utility room, the living room with open kitchen at one end and a bonus room that could be used as bedroom, study, playroom, media room etc.
There are three bedrooms and a bathroom in the attic.
Modern brick-decorated houses. Small one-story house
The second model is a small one-story home, with a living area of 1,130 sq. ft., the entrance and foundation decorated with scarlet brick contrasting the white walls. In the back there’s a partially covered porch, on a platform in steps that’s made of the same brick.
From the lobby one enters a crossing hallway, with the bedrooms and bathroom along and at one end and the living room at the other end. From the living room one can access the kitchen, that can be enclosed and has a large pantry attached, as well as the rear porch.
Modern brick-decorated houses. Medium one-story house
This last model we’ve chosen is also a one-story house, with a living area of 1,356 sq. ft. It’s decorated with a lot of brick, on the walls and around the foundation, in two slightly different tones. There’s a covered front porch supported by thick pillars and a larger one in the back and on one side, partially covered.
Even if the living area is larger, there are only two bedrooms, one of them being a very spacious master bedroom. The living and dining room lie on 409 sq. ft.. The bathroom is between the bedrooms, the kitchen is open and has a pantry next to it, and besides the utility room there’s also a laundry room.
