Building a Garden Shed – Design Ideas and Plans

For a passionate gardener, a wooden shed is the right answer to many problems, especially to those related to storage because, isn’t it true, there is never enough storage space? For an owner who is also a handyman not shrinking from making things around the house, other than the usual repair works, a wooden shed fits him like a glove given the myriad of tools and other instruments he so skillfully wields. Below are several sheds that have caught our eye with their unusual design and some plans showing that building a garden shed can be a simple and pleasant pastime.

It is a shed indeed, built by a Californian designer as a gift for his wife who indulges in different practical hobbies and needs storage space. The small pool next to it completes the practical dimension of the transparent shed.

The next shed was raised in the desert in Arizona. Besides its primary role as storage space, the shed also incorporates an almost 3,000 liter tank collecting rain water which is then used in gardening and other home activities.

A home looking shed – a shed built from cedar wood matching roof shingles and a birdhouse cupola, sash windows, a floor to ceiling door and exterior design ornaments that make passers-by stop and admire the original construction.
