How to make a chair, step by step. Design and measurements

Begin by designing the chair and establishing its dimensions. Here’s the model we propose.

Make the necessary measurements on your planks, mark them and cut accordingly. Begin with the back legs.

Assemble the chair piece by piece using glue and screws to keep them firmly together.

Use cross supports to sustain the seat and give your chair more strength.

Add a rod at the base of the chair’s back, then the back top.

Add base support to the legs also, for extra strength.

Finish with the seating.

Spray glue the seat cushion to the seat top plywood. Lay fabric facedown on table with seat top on top of fabric, foam side down. Staple fabric carefully to the underside of the chair, tucking corners neatly.
