The association between the wild nature and contemporary architecture is always fascinating. We are now looking at another example, a wood cabin built on the rocky coastline of the Kustavi archipelago next to the Finnish city of Turku. The wood cabin on the rocks seem to levitate on the huge boulders dotting the natural landscape, hidden among the evergreens. Images come via Contemporist.com<\/p>\n
The house was built on a single level so to better match with the surrounding landscape. More precisely, its height is below the tress all around, the architects choosing to build it lengthwise. The holiday retreat is simply divided into a bedroom, a living, a kitchen and a dining, a bathroom and a covered veranda that spills into two side decks. Positioned on the rocks, higher from the seaside, the cabin boasts impressive views of the Gulf of Bothnia.<\/p>\n
