We are increasingly more concerned about the environment simply because we care about our future and our children’s. But beyond our preoccupation for nature manifested through simple gestures such as throwing garbage into the bin, recycling natural materials is really an effective means of preserving the surrounding nature which has been under human siege. Solutions are many, but today we will focus on some salvaged wood houses, a concrete way to help protect the environment, but also to save money.

The first example is a holiday retreat built of salvaged wood in the US state of Montana. The two story wood cabin covers a living area of 160 square meters and attracts by the combination of modern architecture and rustic elements, such as the large window that presides over the entrance. The house is flanked by a screened porch for relaxing moments close to nature and a symmetrical side body which houses the kitchen. Access to the attic bedrooms is done via a wooden staircase.
