Under 30 Square Meter Apartment Design Ideas
For an experienced and passionate architect or interior designer, the limited space is just a challenge which enhances imagination and creativity alike. Our examples below, coming via Home-designing.com, show 4 apartments under 30 square meters, most of them in the former Soviet space, are telling in this regard. These small homes leave no impression of a cluttered space, but on the contrary, come as modern and aired spaces in which the owner finds the perfect comfort. Here is more on under 30 square meter apartment design ideas.
The first example is an apartment spreading on a mere 20 square meter surface. Clad in shades of grey, with glossy cabinets going all the way up to the ceiling and mirrors which take the natural light and spread it across the floor plan, the modern space exudes a relaxing feel. Behind the expendable couch a wood headboard was placed, with many storage ideas. A look at the scene from above gives us an overall image of this tiny space, but full of charm.
The second example brings us a 28 square meter apartment. With white walls and vivid colors in the rug and gem-toned pendant lamps, along relaxing wood insertions, the small apartment integrates dual-purpose furniture and intelligent storage spaces. The sleeping area was raised on a platform so to give the owner two separate layers with distinct use – a bed and a storage space underneath. The balcony hosts a working desk and a mini-vertical garden.
The next challenge concerns a 21 square meter apartment. The central piece is the Murphy bed which uses the shelf as a support post when opened. On the side, a sleeping area for a child was set up. Also, smart space-saving solutions come into play with a coffee table that lifts and expands to create a full dining setup.
Finally, the last example brings us an even more interesting design. Taking advantage of the high ceiling, the designer raised the bed on a loft so that to use the ample space under for storage solutions. Clad in wood and featuring many geometrical themes, the small apartment displays a relaxing and harmonious feel despite its limited size.
