Interior Design Color Trends In 2015
We are more and more connected to trends in any field – technology, fashion, interior and exterior design – and examples can go on. In a world of globalization it is almost impossible to ignore trends catching shape all around us, whether we accept them or not. After all, originality is still a virtue in all this blend of tastes that tend to homogenize based on principles and ideas exposed by others. The final decision rests with us anyway. Below we take a short look at the interior design color trends in 2015.
Of course, opinions on this are diverse, but we tried to centralize them and place the stress on the convergent ideas. The first answer is the Greek blue – blue of the Mediterranean, and the tops of the churches in Santorini. Rich and fabulous, this type pf blue is perfect when paired with a grey or pink, designers say.
Another top current design trends is all about introducing touches of luxury, color and texture to living spaces. Different materials and colors used in the sofa and pillows, chairs, balanced by the painting on the wall which brings an extra splash of color.
Paint small portions of the wall to break the chromatic monotony in a room. In the kitchen, do the same by painting the cabinets and give the room a whole new look. This time, the navy blue is the color of choice.
Olive green is another options of designers for 2015, combined with shades of orange to give rooms a note of vitality.
A combination of grey and beige which ends in a neutral brownish gray is also trending this year, designers say, bringing warmth to a room, without blurring the other colors.
The image below displays an avalanche of colors neatly arranged – pink, light green, blue, brown and purple. The natural light enhances each of them, while keeping a unitary chromatic appearance.
Blue, gray and chocolate brown – another combination of colors in fashion this year. The last hue makes the focal point of the room, especially if walls are painted in this color.
Colors from nature are also among the trending in interior design in 2015. This time, wood brings a note of authenticity to a room bathing a lot of colors, but which cannot exceed the intensity of the natural material.
