How to make perfect mulled wine

Although the holidays are over, and regarding of the New Year resolutions in terms of nutrition and wellbeing, the mulled wine is still a must have drink this season, and things will not change very soon. In the cold season, nothing is more pleasant than enjoying a good mulled wine, in the company of dear friends. And because many of us have attended lots of parties lately, all we want to do is spend some time at home. So, we have prepared today not one, but three simple recipes that will help you prepare the best mulled wine. Do you think all you have to do is to boil the wine, add some sugar and cinnamon? No way! If you want to get a delicious mulled wine, you need more ingredients. Read on to find out which ones:

How to make perfect mulled wine. Recipe 1

  • 100 g sugar
  • 750 ml red wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom macinate/10 cardamom seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 10 cloves
  • 5-6 star anise
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated ginger/a ginger piece
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp orange liqueur.
Wash the citrus well, then cut them quarters or slices. Put all the ingredientele, except the liquor, in a saucepan, along with the wine, and leave them on medium heat until the wine starts to boil. When the wine has started to boil, give lower the power and let it boil gently for 20 minutes. Towards the end of the boiling time, add the aromatic liqueur. Then strain the wine and serve it with orange slices.


How to make perfect mulled wine. Recipe 2

Ingredients (for 12 servings):
  • 2 oranges
  • peel from a lemon
  • 150 g sugar
  • 5 nest
  • a cinnamon bar
  • fresh nutmeg breed
  • 2 bottles of dry red wine, preferably Cabernet-Sauvignon or Merlot
  • half a teaspoon fresh grated ginger.
Peel and squeeze an orange, then put the juice to boil in a high pan, along with lemon peel, sugar and the rest of the spices. Add enough wine to cover the sugar and heat up the small fire until the sugar is completely dissolved, stirring occasionally. In a large pot, pour the wine, then add the sugar syrup and spices, the second orange and warm the drink to low heat. If you do not want the wine to lose the percentage of alcohol, do not heat the mixture to the boiling point. Also, if you think the wine is too strong, 1-2 minutes to boil will drop the alcohol.

How to make perfect mulled wine. Recipe 3

  • 750 milliliters of red wine
  • 180 millilitres of water
  • 250 grams of honey
  • 15 black pepper beans
  • 1 stick of long cinnamon (for serving)
  • Shells thin lemon for decoration
Pour the wine, water, cinnamon stick, pepper and honey into a pot. All ingredients are put on medium heat until it heats up and starts to form small bubbles on the edge of the pot. Then, slip into the glass-transparent cups and decorate with a lemon peel and a piece of cinnamon stick.
