Levi’s CEO explains why you should never wash your jeans

No, the title was not a joke, according to Levi’s CEO, you should never wash your jeans. It is not the first time we are hearing thins, over time, several celebrities have said that they never wash their jeans. Among these public figures is  Tommy Hilfiger, who said that he never washes his jeans because  and he might be doing the right thing, although it may seem odd. Read on to found why Levi’s CEO, one of the most important jeans manufacturers, says we should never wash our jeans.

Why you should never wash your jeans

Chip Bergh, Chief Executive Officer Levi’s says that if we wash them, the jeans will be shoerter in lenght and their color is going fade away in time, especially the ones that are elastic. He also says that those who love their pairs of jeans should never undergo such a rough treatment with water and detergent. However, he confesses that the jeans should be cleaned once every couple of months, to remove the unpleasant smells. Also, Levi’s jeans labels urge customers to wash jeans very rarely, and when they do, to use just cold water.

Why you should never wash your jeans

So if we are not supposed to wash them using the washing machine, how do we clean them up? Chip Bergh advises those who want to clean their jeans, to seal them in a bag and put them in the freezer for 24 hours to get rid of the bad smells. As for stains, he recommends using a sponge or toothbrush to clean the place.
