Houses With Roof Windows. For Those Seeking Modernity and Style

The sight of the sky is always relaxing, and enjoying it while lying in bed, before getting up or falling asleep, or, why not, while enjoying a hot bath, can only be even more pleasing. This, but also to enhance lighting in the attic, is what roof windows were made for. Here are three houses with roof windows with a smart, modern look and very functional design that make them very appealing.

First we have a pretty small house, with a living area of only 1,130 square feet, that has 4 bedrooms though. It has a simple, pleasing exterior design, with white walls and dark wood frames. There’s a nice pergola covered porch in the back and on the corner. This house can be built turnkey for 53,000 euros.

There’s a foyer at the entrance with access to a small bathroom, in line with the utility room and the kitchen. The latter is open towards the dining area, then there’s the living room which opens to the rear porch. Next to it is another room which can be used as a bedroom or study.

In the attic there are three bedrooms, each lighted through one or two roof windows, besides the ones on the walls at each end, and a large bathroom, lighted through two roof windows.

The second house is beautifully designed, with a round wall covered in brick and large windows and with a porch and large balcony on one side. There’s a dormer and a roof window on one side of the gable, and two roof windows on the other side. The living area is 1,313 sq. ft. and the construction price is approximately 58,400 euros.

The foyer goes out into a hallway leading to a bathroom, the staircase and the utility room up ahead. The rest of the first floor plan is one large room including kitchen, with a bar, dining area, behind the curved wall, and living area. There are exists to the porch on the side and in the back.

In the attic there are three bedrooms and one bathroom, lighted through classical and roof windows or, in the case of one bedroom, the dormer.

The last plan we’ve chosen is in a more modern style, with simple lines and an effective combination of greys and light yellow. There’s a small, elegant covered porch on the side. The living area is 1,323 sq. ft, and the construction price is under 60,000 euros.

There are no less than 4 access points on the first floor: the main entrance, an entrance through the utility room, one into the living room and another into the bedroom. The bedroom, bathroom and utility room, where a laundry room can also be included, are separated through a small hallway from the living, dining room and kitchen, which is closest to the main entrance, after the foyer.

A master bedroom and two smaller ones, with bathroom and hallway in between, make up the attic. All the rooms are lighted through roof windows and the bedrooms also have large ones on the walls.
